Social Networking So Main Target of Cyberspace Attack

The popularity of Facebook and other social networks along with increased sense of worry about the attacks on the network users, according to a report released Monday by a computer security company, Sophos.  "The year 2009 witnessed Facebook, Twitter and other social networks to strengthen their position in the core position of the Internet daily activities of their users, and bear witness that all the networks that became the main target of hackers," Sophos said in a 2010 Security Threat Report it.

According to the report, criminals in cyberspace increasingly focusing their attacks on users of social networks in the past 12 months, and 57 percent of users said they had been attacked by social networking pages, up nearly 71 percent from a year ago. Nearly 36 percent of those surveyed also revealed that they sent a destroyer of the device through the pages of social networks, rose as much as 70 percent compared with the previous year.
