Achievement of LTE Data Rates for NSN and LG

The first data call speed data downlink LTE 100 MB / s for USB wireless modem has been reached grade 3. Numbers 100 MB / s is the maximum speed for the terminal LTE (Long Term Evolution) grade 3. This speed is a new achievement, after Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN) and LG Electronics completed the full LTE interoperability testing first 2100MHz frequency band.

In test LTE 100 MB / s, the call is made with NSN LTE radio equipment. This includes Multiradio Base Station, elements Evolved Packet Core network and software in accordance with the standard USB modem pre-LTE commercial from LG Electronics (LG). These data calls are also part of the Advanced NSN interoperability testing and Motorola in the frequency band 2100 MHz and 2600 MHz in the center of R & D LTE NSN in Oulu, Finland, and Ulm, Germany.

Terminal 3 class itself is expected to become the first commercial LTE terminal which is used widely by the end of 2010. In LTE, the user devices are grouped based on the potential speed uplink and downlink data.

Predicted Malware Attacks Increased in 2010

Security solutions developer Kaspersky Lab has warned the risk of malware attacks increasingly nasty next year. Several types of attacks is expected to rise to attack the middle platorm popular today such as Google Wave, iPhone, Android, and Windows 7.  "Malware is much more sophisticated in 2010 and many antivirus programs will slow in the treatment of the infected computer because the file infection method and rootkit technology is increasingly sophisticated," said Alex Gostev, Director of Kaspersky Lab's Global Research and Analysis Team in the press release. He said the IT security firm will respond by developing tools to more complex protection. But a malicious program is able to pass these measures may be more or less immune to antivirus programs for some time.

According to the company's experts, in the coming years we will see a shift in the kinds of attacks against users from attacks through web sites and applications to attacks originating from file sharing networks. Since 2009 a series of mass epidemic of malware has been supported by the spread malicious files via torrent portals. This method has been used to spread threats such as the famous and TDSS and Virut first backdoor for Mac OS X. In the year 2010, predicted a significant increase in the incidence of this type of P2P networks (peer to peer).  Cyberspace criminals will continue to compete in the Internet traffic. Modern cyberspace crimes generate more and more efforts to legalize themselves, and there are many ways to earn money online with traffic in larger amounts that can be generated by a botnet that disusupkan applications to multiple computers and is ready commanded from a distance. Currently, most of the black-market services to take advantage of competing botnet traffic.

In the future, Kaspersky predicts the emergence of more transactions botnet scheme, called "partners program" where possible botnet owners to generate profits from such activities, send spam, DoS attacks or spreading malware without an explicit crime. Parties who want to stay memanaatkan pay the amount equivalent conducted infiltration.  However, predict a decline Kaspersky Trojan variants that occurred in the year 2009 through fake antivirus programs. The latter appears first in 2007 and in 2009 and seen increased activity of their involvement in a number of major epidemics. For example, worms Kido, install rogue antivirus program in the infected computer. The reason, fake antivirus market is now saturated and profits for cyber crimes decreased. In addition, these activities are monitored by the IT security companies and agencies of law enforcement. It is difficult to manufacture and distribution of fake antivirus programs.

In addition, attacks on Web services happen, Google would seem Wave headlines in 2010. The attack on Google's new service is no doubt going to use the usual pattern: first, followed by spamming phishing attacks, and then mengeskploitasi vulnerability and spread of malware. Planned launch of Chrome OS-based network is a noteworthy event, but the experts at Kaspersky Lab does not anticipate the emergence of interest in excess of the platform of this virtual world of evil.  Year 2010 will also certainly more difficult for the iPhone and Android. The first malicious programs for mobile platforms emerged in the year 2009, which is a sure sign that they have aroused interest cyberspace criminals. The only iPhone users at risk are those who have compromised devices, but the same can not apply for Android users are all vulnerable to attacks. Increasing popularity of mobile Android OS in China combined with the absence of effective checks to ensure the security application software will cause a third party a number of malware outbreaks with a high profile.

Detection of new vulnerabilities will remain a major cause of the epidemic. This vulnerability will be detected in the software developed by third parties (such as Adobe, Apple, etc..) And on Windows 7, the new operating system just memasukki market. If no serious vulnerability is detected, the year 2010 may prove to be one of the quietest year for some time.  In the year 2008, analysts estimate the company's increase in the global epidemic. Prediction was proven true since the year 2009 appears malicious programs by function sophisticated rootkits, worms Kido also known as Conficker, web attacks, botnet, SMS fraud and attacks on social networks.

Speed SDXC achieve 300 MB/s

SDXC-memory

What you still remember the SDXC? This is a memory card format announced about a year ago. Unfortunately this card is less popular because of the standards / compatibility. However, recently reported, the standard SD memory card (Secure Digital) next generation, SD Specification Version 4.00, will be completed in the spring of 2010. This could mean that the cards will start SDXC can be bought in the early-or mid-2010. What is interesting?

Well, this card is suitable to answer the needs of high-definition video. For the promised transfer rate is 300MB/s, far above the rate of transfer of 104 MB/s which is currently offered by the SD Specification Version 3.00. To boost the speed, this card will use a new transfer scheme and also a new pin. Current parallel technology used will be replaced by serial transfer of technology, which will also be available for use in SD Input / Output (SDIO).

The goal is to make the bus SD can also be used as an internal bus in embedded systems, such as mobile phones. It is fun - but the leap is almost 3x the speed of folding - is the size and form factor of the ultra-fast SD card will remain the same as before. Parallel pins also remain there. This means that (theoretically) SDXC cards will be used, writeable and readable by the old SD card reader, of course at a slower pace.

Found a Bug in Windows 7

Windows 7This may be a slap to Microsoft, a day after announcing his Windows 7 as a risk-free in the Microsoft monthly security bulletin, a bug of Windows 7 (zero day exploits) immediately found. Laurent Gaffie is the latest bug was discovered. Details have been presented in the Full Disclosure mailing list. Microsoft is currently investigating the reported defects, which basically makes the system that exploited Windows 7 will crash.

This crash caused by a flaw in Server Message Block protocol (SMB) which form the backbone of the Windows file sharing. When triggered, defects will cause endless loop that makes the computer can not be used. This weakness is detected in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. But so far there has been no reports of attacks on vulnerabilities.

This weakness does not lead to remote access that is not legal that can cause important information theft or other malicious activity performed. One way to overcome this problem is to block TCP ports 139 and 135 to port 445, which will stop the SMB traffic from the network.

Google will Launch the Chrome OS for the Download

Google-Chrome OSOperating system from Google search engine authority, Chrome OS, ready to be downloaded next week. Thus the gossip on the Internet. The bad news, though Google says it has worked with Acer, Adobe, Asus, Freescale, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments and Toshiba on its OS Chrome, the number of devices that support earlier this operating system will be limited. According to TechCrunch, these limitations are due to the absence of support for basic components such as network interface hardware and graphics cards. As a result you will not be able to download the Chrome OS and run it on any machine.

Google initially said that the netbook that can run this OS will not be available to the public before the second semester of 2010. However, the code might be open (open source) in the coming weeks, as promised in Google Chrome Blog. Also Chrome web browser - Chrome should not be confused with the OS, despite the same name - will be coming to Apple machines in December. In a letter to the developers, Nick Baum (Project Manager Chrome browser) says that the Chrome beta version of 4.0 that was only available for Windows and Linux will also be present in the Apple Mac. For your information, Google launched Chrome browser in 2008 and currently still in experimental stages.

New Canon Camcorder to Record Night

Canon CamcorderUsers must know the lack camcorder recorded video quality in low-light conditions. At night for example. Usually, the color appears to be inaccurate, over-exposed. "It's reduced, green and black," these weaknesses will not occur in two new Canon camcorder based flash memory card series Legria HFS11 and HF21. Because, there is a night scene is now more intelligent, the so-called smart night scene.

In extreme conditions, with lots of night lights, dark conditions (recorded) remains dark, but the contrast of light dimmed so as not to over-exposure. This new technology, a technology adapted from Canon EOS digital camera.

Thus, by activating the night scene, street lights, neon billboards, or the buildings that we recorded did not appear over-exposed. Then, what if you want to record a close-up in low-light conditions? Take advantage of video is also light and flash light built-in which there.

Another special thing is that there is at Dynamic HF21 OIS. Image stabilizer system on this camcorder using the ceramic ball. As a result, the balance moves the lens wider, so the tape is more stable and stay focused when there is interference from external shocks, such as the recorder was up or down stairs.

Instant AF technology combined with Face Detection and includes tracking AF / AE at any special HF21. This technology causes videographer not have to wait a long time to shift the focus from foreground to background or vice versa. Canon claims, the focus would have been locked in about 0.5 seconds.

HD camcorder with a CMOS sensor that carries 3.89 megapixel 15x optical zoom can also capture still images from video recordings frame by frame. Direct catches stored as JPG in the 2-megapixel resolution. The resolution of this catch is lower than the results when shooting still images HF21 functioned as a standalone digital camera, a 3.3 megapixel camera.

Which is also fun, camcorders that use SD card / SDHC with a maximum 32 GB and now equipped with 64 GB of internal memory, or twice the previous series. An additional underwater case can be paired for recording the activities under the water until the depth of 40 meters.

What about HFS11? Is there anything new in addition to features HFS11 (smart) night scene? For the specifications, no visible changes from HFS10. His image processor DIGIC DV III remains. HD CMOS sensor it was the same, 8.59 megapixels. So is the ability photographed with 8 megapixels, as well as its optical zoom of 10x.

New Generation from Spider Computer

Spider ComputerIn the future form of the computer may no longer like the desktop, not too flat like a notebook. Ericsson had a vision that computers should be more practical and can be held anywhere.  A leading manufacturer of telecommunications equipment from Sweden is called the computer's future as a spider computer. Spider is one of the computer technology that was developed in the project Ericsson Life in 2020. Prototype computer spider exhibits introduced in Taiwan Broadband last week. Elongated shape such as a glass. Computers are not equipped with keyboards and screens physically but virtually.

In one there is a laser projector that displays a virtual keyboard on the table. While on the other side there is a projector that displays images on the wall with a size of up to 30 inches. Unfortunately, this prototype has not yet battery life lasting. It also has not completed the connection to the internet connection. There is only memory card slot other than the CPU. However, the demonstration was enough to attract attention. Such computer concept is not new, but has not heard the news when a computer like this will be available in the market.

Ericsson is working to slim that the spider of a prototype computer made today. The computer will also use the three legs for support so quick like a spider. Its features will also be improved so that supports internet connections and a durable battery. Spider computers expected to be completed was developed and released to the market beginning in 2020. Today, Ericsson is conducting negotiations to seek cooperation with a number of producers the right to make it happen. This computer originally developed to supply the needs of poor countries but Ericsson alter its bow with researching the future of digital vision as a whole.

30 Large Companies Dominated Internet Traffic

InternetIn the past two years, the Internet has changed drastically in the infrastructure and economy. There are only 30 large companies that dominate the virtual world. According to a study conducted Arbor Networks and the University of Michigan. Research for two years analyzing more than 256 exabytes of data traffic on the 110 cable operators, transit backbones, regional networks and content providers around the world, and get that 30 "giant hyper" responsible for 30 percent of traffic on the Internet. In 2009 the Internet Observatory Report, Arbor Networks says that five years ago the Internet traffic is spread fairly evenly in the tens of thousands of sites and servers that run large companies.

But the content is now circulating in only a handful of hosting, cloud and its content providers are very large. Craig Labovitz, chief researcher, said that half of Internet traffic in 2007, produced by 5000 to 10,000 companies. Since then, the aggregation of content caused only 150 companies are now responsible for traffic by the same amount each day. Companies that generate the most traffic are Google, Yahoo and Facebook. This decline is a result of economic changes, the collapse of IP transit and increasing overall business model is driven by advertising. Labovitz obvious.

"The Internet is about connectivity, networks connected to each other," Labovitz said. This is very hierarkial, with the money and traffic flows in the direction of (the transit provider to the first-tier). But the content is now more valuable than connectivity. Other effects of economic change is, in addition to the consolidation of content, the big content providers like Google to build direct relationships with its customers, without going through the first-tier providers. Arbor report also highlights how Internet applications basically have migrated to the Web.

If the first protocol and application specific communication stack almost as much as the number of developers, now many have switched to a small number of web and video protocols - usually Flash. The first twelve years the Internet is about connecting homes and businesses. This is about technology. Now there is connectivity everywhere, and the price decline and innovation happening there but not in content - has come closer to consumers and businesses, "Labovitz said. With the faster and better quality content, the Internet will change the face, and exciting for large companies and consumers. We are entering a second era of the Internet.

FBI used Technology to Recognize Faces

Federal Bureau of InvestigationIn the search for fugitives, the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) began using the technology to recognize faces of millions of motorists. Way by comparing the driver's license photo with photos of the fugitives. Projects in North Carolina have helped catch at least one suspect. This project may be expanded in other states. But some activists concerned about this method would violate the privacy of people who are not guilty.

Earlier this year, FBI agents track down murder suspect two people named Rodolfo Corrales who moved from California to North Carolina. The FBI took photos Corrales made in 1991 in California and compares with 30 million driver's license photos stored on the bureau of motor vehicles in Raleigh. A few moments later, found dozens of photographs license owners like Corrales. When analyzed finally found a man who calls himself the name of Jose Solis. A week later the FBI arrested Corrales in High Point where he changed its name to Solis. Corrales will stand trial in LA this month.
