Aircraft with Passengers Missing in France

Plane with six people, that their citizenship for currently unknown, lost near the island of Corsica, France, so confirmation French Air Force. These light aircraft, a Cessna 210, reported engine problems to the control tower at Aix Provene, southeastern France, shortly after take-off from the southern island of Corsica, Monday, October 12, 2009 evening, said Air Force spokesman.

Jet-engine plane made an emergency landing in the waters in the Gulf of Porto, near Corsica, but no landings are detected by the Air Force or by the control tower after the plane lost contact with the mainland. Coordination Center and Air Force search has devoted several helicopters to locate the missing aircraft, and Navy in the coastal town of Toulon, southern France, also has sent several ships to join in the search. Search in progress, said the French Air Force. He added that passenger nationality, which is scheduled to fly to Cannes, remains unknown.
